Technique:

  • Lip Blushing/tattooing will last anywhere from 1-3+ years before needing a colour boost. Every individual will experience fading at different rates and will choose to top up their lip color accordingly.
  • This procedure is considered more intense than eyebrow tattooing due to the thin and vascular tissue of the lips. A topical anesthetic containing 5% Lidocaine will be applied for a period of time as well as a secondary numbing agent for use throughout the procedure. Lips will be swollen for 24-72 hours. You may do cool compresses post procedure.
  • The initial healing phase for lips is 5-7 days. Expect brightness, redness, and dry peeling skin. After this period, the lip colour fades and softens drastically into a more natural appearance depending on the style of the lip tattoo. During this time, you must follow all recommended aftercare instructions for best results. An initial touch-up appointment is booked 6-10 weeks afterwards to perfect your lip procedure.

Healing Process:

  • Day 1 (Right after the procedure): Lips appear bold and brighter than what it will heal to. It will heal between 40-60% lighter and softer. Lips will be slightly swollen and tender. Color will darken (oxidize) as the day goes on.

  • Day 2: Lips are darker and may still be a little swollen. Lips are feeling tight and dry.

    Days 3-4: Skin is flaking and scabbing and the color is fading.

    Days 5-6: Lips start to feel normal and the flaking is gone.

    Day 7: Lips have completely healed but the color is much lighter than after the procedure.

    Day 28-42 : The color has come back! There may be some uneven spots/patchiness and between 6-8 weeks is the perfect time for a touch-up/perfecting session!

    • Refreshers are recommended every 1-2 years to maintain shape, color and detail

    • Minimum age requirement for tattooing is 18 years old

    What is PMU?

    It is a form of cosmetic tattoo that uses precise techniques to implant pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. Used to enhance or correct certain features that would usually be done with regular makeup products!

    How long do PMU Nano Brows last?

    Semi permanent cosmetic tattooing is meant to fade over time. You should get 1-2 years before needing further touch ups or color boosts. Nano brows last longer than microblading and if you come in for your annual color boosts a great discount is applied. Longevity of the procedure can vary between individuals and is dependent on many factors including a persons lifestyle and health up keep.

    What’s the healing process like?

    The dry method aftercare is preferred for at least 2 weeks. Do not get your new Nano brows wet, put any creams or makeup products on them or use saunas, steam rooms, hot tubes or anything involving sweating. Your brows will naturally heal, causing scabbing, flaking and itching. Whatever you do, do not pick your brows! This could cause pigment loss which you don’t want. They will go through some fading and even have a grey looking tinge to them. Don’t worry, this is all normal and your pigment will eventually settle!

    What is the long term upkeep?

    You will want to protect your brows from direct sunlight exposure, including tanning beds. Avoid putting anything on the brows that contain active ingredients like lightening, tightening or brightening. It is also important to keep up on your touchups every year or two. If you wait too long your price for a refresh will be full price.

    How do Microbladed brows look compared to Hyperrealism Nano Brows?

    Hyperrealism brows are much more realistic and natural looking, a bushier, messier, even tangled look. Microblading brows are much more neat and tidy with perfect arches.

    What are the pigments made of?

    We use high quality pigments that are vegan and cruelty free. A highly concentrated formula of both organic and inorganic pigments specifically formulated to ensure retention and high color stability

    Nano for Older Woman/Mature Skin?

    PMU has no age limits! Nano Brows can open up your eyes, as well as give you a lifting illusion making you look much younger! Our technique needs to be adjusted to suit the delicate skin type of mature skin but the results remain beautiful!

    Do you offer a consultation?

    At the beginning of your appointment we will spend 20-30min discussing the look you are seeking. We ask that you bring in any pictures of eyebrows that you like, and we will talk shape and color matching at this point.

    Can I get cosmetic tattooing while pregnant or breastfeeding?

    We do not recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding woman get cosmetic tattooing. You must wait due to hormonal changes in the body that can effect the longevity of your tattoo.

    How old do I have to be to get your services?

    Unfortunately you must be 18 years old
